Bread has been around for zillions of years.

Who was the first to gather the seeds of weeds growing wild out among the vast plains where once dinasours wandered?

What possessed him or her to pull off these tiny things and try to eat them?

Did they mix them with water in order to soften the grains?

How did the first bread get baked?

Ahhhh, some of the water and grain mixture spilled onto one of the hot rocks around the survival fire!

Not wishing to waste any of the precious grain, one of the adventurous souls picked up some of the hardened mass and nibbled on it.

Is this REALLY the way it got started?  Who knows, but it sounds plausible.

If you want to research the history of bread, I would do a "Google" search and take a look at the hundreds of articles written on the subject.
